"It is important to see each other and see how we can help each other, because we all need help sometimes. We can find people who can use our help, just as we will someday look to others to help us." -Selifas Selifas is a young Mexican woman who moves to Texas to become its future democratic governor. With a calm and sturdy presence, enduring professionalism and a focus on providing a helping hand to others, she is ready to take on her adult life in the suburban streets of Seawall. Volleyball games, political bill ideas, happy children and happy families occupy her mind as she navigates the quiet, solitary evenings at home and the various daytime activities in greater Texas. She has to decide what matters to her and how to resolve conflicting goals as her sense of self continually evolves. But first she has to get a job so she can start paying rent on her own.
