Privacy Policy

What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide (display name, pen name, bio, avatar). We use Supabase for authentication and data storage.

When you upload a manuscript, the text content is stored securely in our database. We do not share, sell, or distribute your manuscript content to any third party.

How We Use Your Data

• Your manuscript content is used solely to provide the features you request (beta reader feedback, AI analysis, writing tools).
• AI-powered features send your manuscript text to OpenAI for analysis. OpenAI does not use API inputs to train their models. Your content is processed and discarded.
• Beta reader feedback, comments, and ratings are stored in our database and displayed only to you (the manuscript author).
• We use Vercel Analytics to understand general usage patterns. This does not track individual manuscripts or personal content.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are processed through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe handles all payment data according to their own privacy policy and PCI compliance standards.

Beta Readers

Beta readers who access your manuscript via a share link do not need an account. We collect the name they provide (which can be a pseudonym) and their feedback. Beta reader feedback is visible only to the manuscript author.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. All connections use HTTPS encryption. Manuscript content is only accessible to you and to beta readers you explicitly share it with by setting your manuscript to "active."

Your Rights

• Delete your manuscripts at any time from your dashboard. This permanently removes the manuscript and all associated feedback.
• Delete your account by contacting us. This removes all your data including manuscripts, feedback, profile, and subscription information.
• Export your data by contacting us and we will provide a copy of your stored data.
• Revoke access to beta readers at any time by setting your manuscript status back to "draft."

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in). We use Vercel Analytics which may set a minimal analytics cookie. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
